Rights, commercial use, and distribution
The difference between usage rights, download access, and distributing to outside services.
Kleep's policy on your songs
Under section 6 of the Terms of Service, subject to your compliance with the Terms and payment of applicable fees, Kleep assigns to you any rights it may hold in the songs you generate, and you may use them for personal or commercial purposes. These rights apply to songs created on any tier, including free credits. The full Terms of Service are the source for the details.
What the policy doesn't promise
The Terms state that, depending on applicable law, purely AI-generated material may not be eligible for copyright protection, and that Kleep makes no representation that output is unique, protectable, or free of similarity to existing works. Permission to use a song commercially and copyright protection are two different questions.
Your responsibility for what you bring
You need to hold the necessary rights to any lyrics, recordings, and other material you upload. Making something with Kleep doesn't give you rights in someone else's material. Before commercial use, also check the requirements of the service you're publishing to.
Downloading isn't a separate license
The 30-day download window after you buy a pack is a product limit, according to the Terms. When the download window ends, that doesn't mean your rights in the song end. Save a copy of the file while you're able to download it.
How do I get on Spotify?
Kleep lets you publish directly to YouTube and SoundCloud, and post videos to TikTok, but it doesn't distribute directly to Spotify or Apple Music. For that, use an outside distributor and check its policy on AI-generated music. There's no guarantee that every distributor will accept every song.
