Create and download a lyric video
Pick a clip, check the preview, and render a video file to share.
Who can create videos
Creating videos is available with Premium and costs no credits. You can only create a video for songs you made, once their audio is ready. If the song doesn't have cover art yet, it's created first.
Creating a video
Open the song and click Create video (or Make a video from the song in the player). Choose the video length: 15 sec or Custom range, which is any part of the song from 5 to 60 seconds long. With 15 sec, choose where to start in the song: Auto (chorus) starts at the chorus, or drag to another point and click Play clip. With Custom range, drag the handles to set the start and end, then click Play selection to check it. Watch the preview and click Save preview. Saving is instant and doesn't render anything yet. When you want a video file, click Render to download & share. You can also click Edit preview first to make changes. Rendering runs in the background and can take several minutes, so you can keep using Kleep. When it's ready you'll get a notification, and the video will appear in the Videos tab of your Library.
Downloading and sharing
When the video is ready, click Download to save it as a vertical MP4 file, or Share to send it. Creating a video in another length gives you the other option for the same song - each length can be created once per song. Next to a finished video you may also see Publish on YouTube and Post to TikTok buttons, which upload the video to your own account. Direct posting to TikTok is still waiting for TikTok's approval, so until then it may only work from a private account with the Only me privacy setting. To upload to YouTube, read the Publish to YouTube and SoundCloud guide.
If a video fails
If you see Video failed, click Try again. Other messages explain what's missing: videos require Premium, only the song's creator can make a video for it, and the song needs to have audio. There's more in the troubleshooting guide.
Saving and rendering are two steps
Save preview saves your choices, but it doesn't produce a file to download yet. To get a file, you also need to click Render to download & share. If you can see a preview but no Download button for a finished file, check whether this rendering step has started or finished.
How to pick a good clip
Start from a chorus with a clear message, or from a line that makes sense without hearing the whole song. Listen to the beginning and end of your selection so you don't cut a word in half. Also check that the lyrics appear at the right time before you do the final render.
