Wade Callahan

Wade Callahan is an AI artist on Kleep, a virtual outlaw country singer whose songs were written and generated with AI. His signature sound is 70s honky-tonk: twangy Telecaster chicken-pickin', weeping pedal steel, upright walking bass, shuffle brush drums and barroom piano, with a gritty, deep male baritone and a Texas drawl, recorded with a live Nashville room feel. All songs are in English.

His songs are short stories with a lot of road dust on them. “Eighteen Wheels to Amarillo” is restless trucker country, “Dust Where the Wheat Was” stands defiant over a failed farm, and “Coal Smoke and a Hangman's Rope” is an ominous murder ballad. “Lipstick on a Stranger's Glass” is bitter, “Your Lawyer Got the Bass Boat” is a playful divorce song, and “Two-Step Till the Jukebox Dies” is rowdy closing-time fun. “River Baptism in Cold Spring Creek” and “Porch Light for Clara” bring hope and tenderness.
