Ow! Get down!
Friday gone and the weekend's here
Polish up them platform shoes, my dear
Brass section warming up the night
Mirror ball is spinning, feelin' right
It's that Saturday shine, oh-oh
Everybody on the floor let's go
Slap that bass and let the good times roll
Saturday shine is good for the soul
Sister got the funk in her step
Brother on the bassline, no regret
Sweat and sequins, side by side
Let the rhythm be your only guide
It's that Saturday shine, oh-oh
Everybody on the floor let's go
Slap that bass and let the good times roll
Saturday shine is good for the soul
(Horn stabs!) Get up, get down
(Wah guitar!) Funk all over town
